Lucy Haydon was born about 1773 in Virginia,
possibly in Lancaster County. She was possibly a daughter of of John Haydon Jr.
Lucy
Haydon married about 1789 in Virginia to William Mitchell (ca. 1770-ca. 1820). The
location of this marriage is not known. Their first son, William Mitchell (ca. 1790-1873),
was born in Virginia. Shortly after his birth the William Mitchell family moved to
Rockingham County, North Carolina, and by around 1820 to Gallatin County, Kentucky.
Lucy Haydon-Mitchell died in Shelby County, Indiana in February 1844.
